Product Feature: Expanded PET (XPET™) trays are an innovative packaging product made with a monolayer PET structure, providing a sustainable solution to hard-to-recycle polystyrene (PS) trays.

Our global reach and our local presence enable us to work closely with both our customers and suppliers.

Expanded PET Tray

Expanded PET trays are a styrofoam replacement for meat, poultry, seafood, produce and more.

Styrofoam trays are commonly used because they are light in weight (less shipping expense), they are sturdy and they are low cost. These trays are made by using polystyrene resin. Unfortunately, one huge drawback with these trays is that they are rarely recycled due to limited applications for recycled styrofoam trays. Moreover, there are few established recycling companies that recycle styrofoam trays. That’s why most styrofoam trays end in landfills. (According to the current APR guidelines, our expanded trays are not recyclable in the US.)
