How does Packaged Sustainable define greenwashing?

Greenwashing is the practice of companies misleading or providing false information about their environmental impact to appear more sustainable than they truly are.

Will every reported solution be removed from Packaged Sustainable?

No. Each report will be reviewed by our board and evaluated against our community guidelines.

If Packaged Sustainable doesn't want greenwashing, why are there some "greenwashed" solutions on the platform?

Opinions on "greenwashing" vary from person to person and are sometimes motivated by commercial interests.

For example, many people would call any plastic packaging "greenwashed" simply because they do not prefer plastic.

This is why we require factual evidence to substantiate reports of greenwashing.

It is not simply a matter of preferring one packaging solution over another.
